Two bylines from me!
If you've been wondering what I've been up to, wonder no more!
In the span of a month, I've had two bylines at the Sun. (This of course is on top of my regular full-time editing duties.) I've got a story on Toronto's mask bylaw that came from an FOI request and a cowboy-themed travel piece based on a trip I took to southeast Arizona. (The image above is from the Chiricahua National Monument, which is well worth the trip.
Here's a fun (?) fact: I thought I would be putting up a post like this two years ago. Consider it just one of the many plans that got put on hold about that time. My Arizona jaunt came very shortly after the weekend in Columbus, Ohio, that resulted in this piece about hockey analytics. Covid restrictions took a lot out of travel, which took a lot out of the Sun's travel section, and the Arizona story got shelved until vacation planning seemed a bit less bleak for Canadians. That took two years!
Here's to me filing a few more bylines yet - in between all my editing work, of course.
