Not just fun and games: What I've been writing lately
A couple months back, I visited the Strong National Museum of Play in Rochester, N.Y. Ever since I learned of the place I wanted to go, and when I finally did, I wrote a travel piece about it for the Sun.
(Quick aside: Go to the museum. It's lots of fun. Do you like video games? Do you like toys? Do you like history and fun? Go to the museum.)
Anyway, the travel piece went up last month, and then around Thanksgiving I saw a big billboard for the museum while driving on the Gardiner. Yes, that wonderful Rochester gem is the talk of the town (humour me for just a moment).
And in news reminiscent of a post last year, I had two stories go live in the same month, but one had sat on the shelf a long time. While my city hall security gate story came together pretty quickly, my High Park covid story came together just after the 2022 cherry blossom season, but didn't get published until the trees were starting to bloom this year. Just a little peek into how things can come together!
